Thom Perry
Thom Perry, born and raised in New York City, began in the beauty industry originally as a make-up artist. While he was doing freelance make-up and making wigs for Dreamgirls he started as a student at Redken Institute in NYC. He graduated at the top of his class. Taking advantage of the industry in NYC he continued his education at Vidal Sassoon and Bumble & Bumble. With his advanced training he worked with photographers doing make-up and hair. He also did commercials with La Rue De Reves and Mano a Mano. Thom was the head make-up artist for Michar Model Agency. He then became an instructor at the Paul Mitchell Academy on 57th street working alongside Jan Farrow and Donald Scott. He helped with the production of the Mary McFadden Show at the Natural History Museum. After spending 12 years working in NYC he moved to Rehoboth Beach, DE and opened Salon Fur. In addition, he worked as an educator for Schwarzkopf and as an ambassador for Platform Artists. Thom then met Michael O'Rourke from Sexy Hair and joined him to become an educator, a national platform artist and finally an international artist.

With the industry taking him all around the world, including Italy, Germany, and San Juan he has found time to open Salon Fur in a new location and even expand to add the Lotus Spa-a full service spa. It will also be the first salon in the area to incorporate the art of a tattoo studio. Using his highly developed and unique training, Thom now offers advanced education to all stylists in the mid-Atlantic region.
